DIAMOND WEDDING SHOWCASE
March 24, 2010

At the Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale Attracts more than 500 People

Guests Greeted by Celebrity Wedding Planner James Tramondo and Junior League Models

(Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) – More than 500 people visited the Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale for the debut Diamond Wedding Showcase to visit three ballrooms decked out in elaborate wedding décor, see beautiful wedding gowns and wedding party attire donned by Junior League models, and meet representatives from South Florida’s most exclusive wedding vendors. Celebrity New York wedding planner, James Tramondo, who frequently appears on the Style Channel’s “Who’s Wedding Is It Anyway?” mingled with guests and offered valuable planning tips to many soon-to-be brides.

“We were so pleased with the turnout for our first-ever South Florida Wedding Network Diamond Wedding Showcase,” said founder Bobby Kyser, the owner of Petals Panache who modeled South Florida’s only one-stop wedding network after a successful wedding network in Louisville, Kentucky, his hometown.  “The Ritz-Carlton was the perfect backdrop for our exclusive vendors, and we were able to show brides that a showcase can be elegant, informative and fun without being ‘tradeshow-like.’ We brought the dream wedding to life.”

The Junior League of Fort Lauderdale, the beneficiary of the event, provided models for bridal and wedding party gowns provided by Zola Keller.

“Partnering with the South Florida Wedding Network was a fun and effective way to raise funds for great causes in our community,” said Heather Moraitis, president of the Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale.   “We thank the companies who donated generous auctions prizes.”  Auction items included a weekend at the Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale, a year’s supply of roses from Petals Panache, a dinner for eight from Thierry Catering and a $1,000 gift certificate from Zola Keller.

Tease, the official hair salon for the network located on Las Olas, donated hair styling and make- up for all of the Showcase models.
